Covid-19 Patient Info

Dear Customers,

The Government has announced in May that dentists can provide all dental treatments to patients. This means we’re open and equipped to provide dental care.

However, the risk of spread of Covid-19 is still prevalent in the community. We want to assure you that our priority remains the safety and well-being of our patients, our people and the community. In line with this commitment we’re continuing a number of safety measures to help minimise any risk of Covid-19 exposure within the practice.

Ambience dental is operating on four key principles:

  1. Prevent people who are at high risk of transmitting the virus from attending the practice
  2. Identify possible cases of infection as soon as possible
  3. Isolate a confirmed or suspected infected patient/person to prevent transmission to other patients and staff
  4. Avoid direct physical contact with a person exhibiting signs of fever and flu symptoms unless wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Presenting at the practice:

  • All patients, visitors, handymen, contractors etc., will need to complete a health declaration form upon arrival at the practice
  • Directing patients reschedule their appointment if they are or have recently been unwell, or are experiencing any flu-like symptoms; and have come in contact with someone confirmed to have Covid-19
  • Touch free temperature checks for anyone who enters the practice
  • Maintaining strict social distancing measures in the waiting area. Regularly wiping down surface areas with hospital grade surface wipes;
  • Team members staying home if they have been in contact with a confirmed or probable case of Covid-19, or are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms;
  • Standard infection control procedures to reduce the spread of any infection;
  • The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as standard level 2 surgical masks, protective eye-wear and gloves for all dental procedures;
  • Strengthened cleaning procedures, including actively promoting the regular use of antibacterial hand sanitiser and surface wipes;
  • Stringent personal hygiene measures practiced by all staff members;
